About the client:

Our Client, a multinational EPCI contractor with its head office in Victoria Island, Lagos. Is currently in need of a dedicated and resourceful Network Support Officer to join its Onshore Support Unit.

Job Description

Summary:

This person will undertake and the development and maintenance of local and Wide area network connection and peripheral devises. They require an analytical mind and passion for technology and will carry out network design, installation and troubleshooting of network software, hardware, copper and fiber cables and connectivity.  They also fix computer and related issues for users. They will create and maintain well-functioning systems that help business run smoothly together with the network manager.

Responsibilities:

Designing and installing of a well-functioning computer network, cables and peripheral devices.

Perform troubleshooting of network and computer system software and hardware failures and ensure network efficiency.

Testing and configuring of network hardware, software and peripheral devices.

Install LAN infrastructures and maintenance without interrupting employees from their official work.

Backup of network configurations and other information.

Guide employees and users of the network on usage and resolution of minor faults

Other responsibilities assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Good knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies

Knowledge of computer and network software, hardware and peripherals.

Ability to communicate and explain Complex technologies to members of staff to guide them in resolution of issues.

Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skill in handling people where matters are complex

Good reporting skills

BSc in Engineering, computer science, information technology or related field

2+ years of experience.

A Computer networking certification is and added advantage.
