The internship is a structured work-based program, affording unemployed graduates work experience in our company. The successful applicants will enter into a 12-month fixed term Internship agreement (not an employment contract) with the company and receive a stipend.
Job Description
The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on industry trends, competitor strategies, and best practices that support transformational change in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment. Summarise findings and present insights to the team.
- Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project milestones and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Collect and analyse data to measure the effectiveness of transformation initiatives. Prepare reports and dashboards to track progress, identify key performance indicators, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure buy-in for transformational initiatives. Foster positive relationships and communicate effectively to drive alignment and support.
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation and efficiency gains within the organisation. Propose innovative solutions and participate in the implementation of change initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
- Proactively seek learning opportunities to enhance your understanding of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment methodologies, change management principles, and emerging technologies. Participate in training sessions, workshops, and networking events to further develop your skills and expertise.

- Effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
Excel in teamwork and contributing ideas.
- Proactive Mindset:
They should have a proactive approach, coupled with a passion for learning and driving organisational improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Data Visualisation:
Familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and data visualisation tools is advantageous.
- Background in Project Management and Change Management:
Previous experience or coursework in these areas is desirable.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Matric or equivalent
- Must have completed a Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, Organisational Development or Industrial Psychology, Strategic Management, Business Management, Social Science or a related field.
- Computer Literate (MS Office)
- No work experience required

- Be a South African citizen
- Not previously part of an internship/learnership with INSETA
- Be between the ages of 18 & 35
- Unemployed in the last 2 months
