Job Description

The Claims Motor Assessing Team Manager leads and assumes full management responsibility for a team of professional Claims Motor Assessing Assessors in the Assessing department.


Responsibilities:

• Moderate assessments completed by the accident assessors or service providers

• Monitor and manage the average repair cost as well as the quality of their own assessments as well as their team

• Recruitment & selection & retention of team members

• Checking and validating of all work carried out within the team.

• Managing team performance in accordance with established minimum standards.

• Upskilling team members through coaching and mentoring

• Performance Management

• Leave Management

• Audits

• Ensuring team members are behaving in line with the company procedures and values and addressing misconduct

where applicable

• Change management and effective communication

• Dealing with escalated customer complaints and adhoc queries that are outside of your subordinates mandate

• Reporting & analysis

• Assume full leadership responsibility for a team of professional accident assessors

• General day to day management of team

• Liaise with service providers, clients and advisors

• Conduct all the above to the required performance and quality standards that are in place

 

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

·        Matric

·        Qualified Panel beater, Spray Painter or Motor Mechanic

Experience:

Meet minimum criteria for VDQ. (VDQ Professional Membership advantageous)

·        2/3 Years Assessing Leadership Experience (Management) will be advantageous

·        Own Road worthy Vehicle is necessary

·        Valid driver’s license is necessary

·        Leadership, Management and or Insurance related studies completed or in       progress will be advantageous.
