We are a disruptor within the financial services market broadly and now seek to disrupt the Investment market. We have a growing Life Insurance and Investments business, and we are looking for an experienced Business Development Consultant to join our Investment-distribution team. Two opportunities exist in our Centurion Head Office, primarily servicing Gauteng as well as an opportunity for an individual to focus on the coastal cities.  

We require experience of marketing investment products and the possession of an established network of existing relationships with Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs). We need someone who can help us develop these relationships and then to drive the promotion of OUTvest products with all contracted advisor practices:

Job Description

Overview and Purpose of the Role:

Our investment business has grown significantly over the year which has led to the development of this business development role. The Business Development Consultant is charged with driving our

growth in the independent advisor channel by creating widespread awareness of our investment business OUTvest and its product offerings.

The Business Development Consultant must align themselves with the OUTsurance culture and values of Awesome Service, Passionate, Honest, Human, Dynamic and Recognition and be able to work within a dynamic and fast paced environment.

The key outputs for this role are to identify the right profile IFA practices, create awareness of the OUTvest digital platform and product suite, establish service level agreements and to enable IFAs to place business with OUTvest.

Qualifications

Qualification and Experience

Qualification

  • Completed Matric or National Senior Certificate as a minimum but a relevant commercial degree will be advantageous.
  •  Regulatory Exam (RE5)

Experience:

  • At least 3 years’ experience promoting investment product to IFAs / Wealth Managers will qualify you for a junior role
  • More than 10 years’ experience promoting investment product to IFAs / Wealth Managers will qualify you for a senior role

Essential

  • Must have your own transport and a valid SA driver’s license

Competencies:

  • Strong sales and influencing skills
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) in English
  • Numerical & mathematical skills
  • An ability to self-manage and work remotely

Reporting Lines:

The OUTsurance Broker will report directly to the Regional Manager.
