We are looking for an experienced accountant to as a Project Accountant and Group Financial Reporting Coordinator reporting to the Head Group Finance.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role will include the following:

• Coordination all Group financial reporting processes related to month-end, quarter, and financial year-end.
• Coordination of annual group budgeting processes.
• Engagement and co-ordination with external audit and co-ordination of year-end audit process.
• Coordination of public reporting in line with the objectives of a listed company. Published reports, JSE SENS announcements, press releases.
• Project management of ad-hoc accounting and reporting projects.
• Involvement and contribution to technical accounting projects across a multi-national group.
• Involvement in setting up reporting infrastructure for the Group’s international expansion initiatives.

The candidate will report into the Head of Group Finance.

CA(SA) with 10 years post articles experience within a large corporate and listed environment.

Experience

• Experience in project management in a Finance/audit environment will be beneficial.
• Advanced understanding of reporting processes for listed and / or large organisations.
•  Financial services experience in banking or insurance.
• Good technical accounting and IFRS knowledge.
