The IT Development department is looking for a person who is passionate about testing, where this testing involves technical website testing with an agile testing approach. This person will give their all to ensure that we delight our customers. This person will ideally be naturally inquisitive and feel at ease navigating applications hosted internally including website, portal, and mobile device applications. This person will collaborate on a technical level with team members of various technical backgrounds.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in and across project development teams to test all required system modifications and functionality within development projects with the aim of delivering high quality products at a fast pace
- Maintain and develop automation test scripts
- Testing that involves a combination of manual and automated testing
- Compile test plans and present these test plans to the testing group and participate during test plan reviews
- Holding the space for quality within the development project team

Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- Matric
- At least one year’s website testing experience or exposure to website testing
- IT Qualification
- Strong computer skills with a good knowledge of a variety of different Windows-based programs
- An understanding of Agile and an interest in using Scrum or Kanban when working in teams.
- You would need to have been unemployed for the past 6 months
- You may not have participated in an INSITA program before.
Beneficial requirements:
- Ability to perform REST API tests through PostMan
- Understanding of API and mobile application branching strategies
- Interpreting application error logs
- ISTQB certified
- Interest in automating tests for websites
- Interest coding in C#
- Exposure to a Test Case Management Tool (TestRail)
- Exposure to JavaScript
- Exposure to using Bitbucket or other source control code management
