Corporate Events Coordinator

Job Description

  • Assists with the coordination of internal and external events, in person and virtual, which promote engagement, connection and represent our culture.
  • Assists with the coordination of event details, including but not limited to, registration, food & beverage, décor, prizes, promotional materials, presentations, signage, printing, auction, transportation, gifts and other event-related components.
  • Submits and tracks vendor invoices for multiple events and is responsible for processing expense reimbursements for the LTD Benefits Conference.
  • Helps to source ideas, prizes, gifts and other event-related items to support both internal and external events.
  • Participates in multiple committees and working groups for various events.
  • Orders and coordinates supplies needed for events.
  • Provides onsite support for internal and external events.
  • Builds relationships with departments across the organization as well as with external vendors and donors to ensure the success of multiple events.
  • Assists with post-event evaluations and debriefs with a focus on sharing ideas and always improving events and making them more efficient and engaging.


  • A diploma in Hospitality Management, Event Management or related field, and/or 1 – 2 years’ experience in an events-related role.
  • Must be a self-starter who takes initiative to complete tasks and manage multiple projects independently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail is required.
  • Superior organization skills and time management skills to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure are very important for success in this role.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to create and maintain productive business relationships.
  • Team player who is excited about working on a collaborative and high-performing team.
  • Knowledge of the following platforms is considered an asset: GoToWebinar, Zoom, Survey Monkey, Tango and Cvent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Additional Information

Working Conditions:

  • General office environment (hybrid with 3 days in office per week).
  • Travel (within Ontario) and overtime is required for some events.
  • Fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.
