Position Overview and Responsibilities
National Instruments is seeking an experienced program manager to join the Business Intelligence (BI) and eBusiness team at National Instruments. The program manager’s primary role is to collaborate with the business to drive key insights through business intelligence reporting and business analytics to shape business strategies and tactics.
In this integral role the person is accountable for meeting the information needs for the evolving Marketing organization by driving the right level of reporting and analysis to enable business performance management and guide strategic decision making. This person will be expected to reinforce a mind-set throughout the Marketing organization in which data driven decisions drive business impact and where BI is used as a strategic resource. The individual must exhibit high business acumen, be skilled at developing business relationships, and have a passion for analytics.
Qualifications
Core Job Responsibilities:
- Cultivate strong relationships with business owners, driving strategic alignment of an information strategy to business objectives
- Support strategic decision making for specific areas of NI’s Marketing organization through identification and orchestration of in-depth customer analysis and market research projects
- Facilitate the identification of key performance indicators and hypothesis development necessary to drive Marketing reporting and analysis project requirements
- Define, prioritize, and coordinate the execution of multiple analytical projects, reports, and ad-hoc requests to support business initiatives
- Perform hands-on business analysis to identify trends and uncover new business opportunities
- Provide training for business consumers on how to use reports, tools and information effectively
- Identify and define business requirements for data warehouse deliverables necessary to meet Marketing reporting and analytics needs.
Position Requirements:
- BA or BS degree from an accredited college/university, MBA is a plus
- 7 to 10 years related experience in a business setting is preferred
- Demonstrated leadership skills including leading teams and driving initiatives across multiple departments and technologies
- Superior problem solving, business acumen and analytical skills
- Familiar with relational databases in a business-to-business marketing environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Visio)
- Strong organizational, planning and project management skills
- Self motivated and must be proactive and be able to deal with ambiguity
- Ability to work in a virtual environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to translate highly technical, detailed data into valuable information that will help clients take appropriate action
- Ability to establish and foster strong working relationships with internal and external customer
