Position: Superintendent

Department: Muldrow Distribution

Location: Muldrow, OK

Work Schedule

Days: Monday – Sat - 7:00a – 4:00p (Flexible)

Summary Plans and monitors daily operations in Distribution by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Monitors and instructs hourly and Administrative clerks in Distribution.
  • Monitors and instructs supervisors in Distribution.
  • Reviews and insures compliance policies with all government and company S.O.P.'s.
  • Addresses issues in regards to inventory, equipment, carriers and other departments (QA, dispatch, etc.).
  • Performs research and problem solving of issues reported in regards to inventory and system operations.
  • Proofreads and prepares information in regards to activities at Distribution.
  • Cross-trained to fill in for load coordinator on short-term bases.
  • Reviews information needed for monthly safety meetings.
  • Monitors and insures that all safety and operating procedures are maintained and enforced.
  • Performs yard checks including but not limited to: trailer temps, fuel, loading status, trailers sealed, railcar status and overall condition of building.
  • Handles employee disciplinary actions.
  • Reviews cycle count inventories.
  • Authorizes inventory adjustments.
  • Interviews potential new hires for supervision and data entry.

Qualifications

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages three subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 25 employees in the Distribution Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises four non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or education beyond high school including special training, vocational school and/or college courses is preferred. 2+ years with supervisory experience in manufacturing, and minimum of 1 year HACCP experience. Food manufacturing is a plus.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have a valid driver's license and be able to qualify for the company's driving program.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of E-mail software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
