The Content Systems Engineer (CSI) delivers full life-cycle systems integration and engineering services to meet the missions of its customers. CSI technical services modernize mission systems and segments to provide enhanced information technology capabilities to users worldwide.

The CSI Foundation GEOINT (FG) Mission Planning Project has the need for an experienced systems integrator to define mission capabilities and services to meet customer objectives. Reporting to the FG Mission Planning Project Lead, the Systems Engineer is accountable for capability and processes definition, processes analysis and documentation, customer engagements, project management and Enterprise Integration coordination..

Responsibilities

  • Translate customer needs into technology-agnostic, mission-enabling processes to support process improvement activities
  • Analyze and assess customer business models and provide recommendations for efficiency improvements
  • Lead and participate in analysis of alternatives to drive out future processes to align with enterprise and organizational vision
  • Integrates data domains and agency initiatives into the future enterprise vision
  • Lead the development of key process engineering products, to include Visio models and mission scenario documentation
  • Lead the identification, tracking, mitigation, and resolution of non-materiel risks and issues

Qualifications

Own It! (Required Qualifications)
  • TS/SCI Clearance (with current SSBI favorably adjudicated within the last 5 years)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / CS / Math / Science / or related technical experience
  • 11+ years of systems engineering, systems integration, or systems development experience
  • 3+ years of related experience with NGA or its IC partners
  • Demonstrated experience with NGA systems, architecture, missions, and customers
  • Demonstrated experience with technical writing to include CONOPS, User Stories, and executive level communications 
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with gov’t leaders, technical SMEs, and system/service end users to drive out needs and communicate technical concepts
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and present effective technical presentations to senior management; must possess strong written and verbal communications skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced degree or certification in a technical field
  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Cartography, and/or Image Science
  • Demonstrated experience in with Enterprise Integration, Strategic Planning, and Project Management
  • 3+ years of experience as a systems of systems integrator, or enterprise integration
  • 3+ years of experience in project engineering, or project management
  • 2+ years of experience with Business Process Re-engineering (BPR), Process Improvement, workflow definition, or related areas
  • 2+ years of experience with any of the various Foundation GEOINT domains, e.g., maritime, aeronautical, topographic, GeoNames and Boundaries, etc.
  • 2+ years technical experience supporting NSG systems and architectures
  • 1+ years of experience with agile engineering or agile development programs
