Job Description

GEOINT/LiDAR ANALYST 

  • CLEARANCE: Secret (Preferred)  
  • LOCATION: Portland, OR
  • YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years (5-10 years preferred- this can include military experience)

The GEOINT/LiDAR Analyst is responsible for performing complex and timely GEOINT analysis & exploitation in support of the testing, development and validation of an advanced high performance SFM based software processing suite utilizing remotely sensed data sourced from multiple sensor phenomenologies.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:   

  • Experience with the analysis and exploitation of GEOINT products, utilizing a variety of advanced geospatial techniques leveraging multiple GEOINT data sets.
  • Must be intimately familiar with LiDAR data as well as its associated formats; point cloud (.LAS), Digital Terrain Model (DTM) and Digital Surface Model (DSM).
  • Exhibit expert knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS); creating shapefiles, geo-databases, and features, using ESRI software and applications.
  • Expert knowledge of the discovery of geospatially oriented data and the management of that data within a variety of applications and databases.
  • Ability to perform imagery orthorectification and create large imagery mosaics.
  • Individual must exercise good judgment regarding data quality and project criteria and be able to recognize and identify image anomalies associated with dataset.

Desired Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree and/or equivalent experience in the geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) field with demonstrated experience in LiDAR and the production of geospatial products. 
  • Previous experience in the SOF community is highly desirable.
  • Must possess strong briefing skills and be capable of multi-tasking in high stress, time sensitive production environments. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Quick Terrain Modeler, Arc GIS, MS Office, Google Earth, ENVI, LiDAR Asset Manager (LAM) and Socet Gxp.
  • Familiarity with multiple sensor phenomenologies (LiDAR, EO, IR, FMV, HSI, MSI)
