Senior Software Developer

• Clearance: MUST currently be a US citizen AND MUST be able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance

OGSystems is looking for an experienced agile software developer to assist the team in building the next generation analytics platform. BlueGlass™ fully integrates satellite imagery, logistics, traveler safety, social media, and other unique data sources with machine learning algorithms, big data processing, and cognitive computing technology stacks – bringing an unprecedented integrated analytical platform that gives context to every data point on the planet.

Responsibilities

Working with distributed and local teams in gathering requirements; analyzing existing technologies and selecting and implementing new software; building out architectures that are scalable; working with Partners to ingest their data into our platform; integrating third party API’s into the platform; designing innovative ways to deliver data to the customer.

Own It! (Required Qualifications)

• Polygot programming, Angular, NodeJS, Python Preferred
• NOSQL Database experience, DynamoDB, Mongo
• Version Control SVN/GIT
• Linux / UNIX Operating System and General Sys Admin Skills
• Understanding and experience with SOAP/REST based services

Desired Qualifications

• 10 plus years of Software Development experience
• Experience building Cloud Native applications on AWS
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Experience with Elasticsearch Clusters and Queries
• Exposure to MapReduce or SPARK programming, Streaming Python on EMR
• Experience designing dynamic websites using javascript libraries
• Exposure to working with API’s and API Gateways
• Test Driven Development, Continuous integration and DevOps Experience
• Experience working with Geospatial Data and enabling discovery of GIS Data
