INNOVATION SPECIALIST/ADVISOR IV

Description: 

For hard, well‐defined customer problems, serve as a platform catalyst for US Government agencies and National Labs, Silicon Valley (SV) Companies and Academia innovators and organizations to collaborate, incubate purposeful relationships forming a diverse trust network built on shared opportunity and risk, and generate innovative solutions. Perform problem-based, targeted SV technology solution providers search and analysis. Build partnered investment opportunities with SV Venture Capital (VC)/Private Equity (PE) networks. Promote product refinement working on emerging Government problems with direct access to users, built on a solid business case for the Commercial ‘dual-use’ technology solution. Build engagement platform to support customer outreach, ideation, collaboration efforts, embedding customer Government teams within BMNT-formed immersive solutioneering crucibles, including quarterly hosted events leveraging “Hacking For Defense” (H4D) methods. Collaborate with DoD Defense Innovation Unit – Experimental (DIUX), and other government hubs in SV as directed. Deliver the customer Collaborative Innovation Network (CIN) Engagement Plan.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

•Bachelors Degree in engineering, scientific, technical, or relevant functional discipline

• 11+ years related professional experience (e.g., social engineering {virtual collaboration} capability implementation, business process management systems, market research systems, product development and business intelligence/ analysis processes, and IT architecture, integration, and engineering)

•Proven ability to identify technology and commercial businesses to meet government customer’s needs

•Demonstrated experience building relationships and negotiating terms between commercial businesses and VC/PE

•Proficient with Customer Relationship Management software – such as ACT! software; MS Dynamics CRM

•Broad knowledge and experience in commercial industry IT, emerging technology trends & industry best practices

•Specific knowledge and experience working with Silicon Valley markets and venues, with established network

•Ability to identify leap-ahead or disruptive technology opportunities and gaps in current capabilities and processes

•Knowledge of media production, communication, dissemination techniques and methods!

•Strong customer service and teaming skills; ability to collaborate in cross-functional team

•Demonstrated ability to explain technical issues clearly, accurately to both technical and non-technical audiences

•Demonstrated ability to work in multi-contractor / government / commercial / academic / professional organization

Desired Qualifications:

•Masters Degree or PhD in engineering, scientific, technical, or relevant functional discipline

•Broad knowledge of the NGA and other IC and DoD architectures and missions, both as-is and future vision

•Experience developing and implementing capabilities and services, SLAs, meeting quality standards for services
