Field Service Representative

  • Clearance: TS/SCI access required at task start. Access to Special Access Programs (SAP) may be required. Last investigation within 5 years.
  • Location: Multiple CONUS and OCONUS locations

Bring It! (Description)

Technical Surveillance Field Service Representative (FSR). This position involves providing Tagging, Tracking and Locating (TTL) technical support in the form of field service support deployed globally to support operational requirements and new equipment training to SOF Component and Theater Special Operations Commands (CONUS and OCONUS).

Required Proficiencies

  • Passive, semi-passive and active tracking devices
  • Clandestine devices used to capture and transmit audio and video
  • Commercial and government communication architectures
    Intermediate electronics skills (amplitude/direct current, circuits, oscillators, capacitors, voltage, etc.)
  • Radio frequency communications, propagation and antenna theory
  • Fabrication of TTL and Audio/Video (A/V) devices using Commercial Off the Shelf components that can be purchased on the local economy
  • Basic techniques for mechanical and electrical installation and antenna placement for TTL and A/V devices in relevant common concealments
  • Installation/employment considerations for multiple TTL operational requirements
  • Computer skills (MS Office, Falcon View, Google Earth, C2PC, Map Pint, IP and computer networking)
  • Global positioning satellites (GPS) navigation systems
  • Software based mapping and data visualization tools
  • Be experienced with test equipment including multi-meters, spectrum analyzers, network analyzer and oscilloscopes

Qualifications

Own It! (Qualifications)

  • Ability to familiarize senior military personnel on current capabilities of TTL devices, as well as advise senior leaders on the most effective Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) for utilizing the technical equipment.
  • Possess at least 10 years of operational experience.
  • At least 3 years of SOF and/or SMU operational experience. 
  • Possess knowledge of USSOCOM, subordinate organization, DOD, Service, Title 10 roles and missions.
  • Experience must have been obtained in hostile, semi and non-permissive operational environments conducting Advanced Force Operations and Close Target Reconnaissance in direct support of combat operations.

Preferred Additional Qualifications

  • Previous experience with development of TTPs and Programs of Instruction
  • Experience providing training: Platform Instruction (Formal), Field Training, and Ad Hoc (Informal Training)
