Head of Resource Management Unit

  • Full-time
  • Grade: GA8

Company Description

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an international organisation comprised of 38 member countries, that works to build better policies for better lives. Our mission is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world. Together with governments, policy makers and citizens, we work on establishing evidence-based international standards, and finding solutions to a range of social, economic and environmental challenges. From improving economic performance and creating jobs to fostering strong education and fighting international tax evasion, we provide a unique forum and knowledge hub for data and analysis, exchange of experiences, best-practice sharing, and advice on public policies and international standard-setting.

The OECD Centre on Well-Being, Inclusion, Sustainability and Equal opportunities (WISE) is an agile and innovative team that aims to strengthen the OECD's capacity to help countries implement a cross-cutting approach to contemporary policy challenges. WISE's mission includes developing new tools, evidence and policy solutions that are centred on people and focus on promoting greater opportunities and well-being as key pillars for shared economic prosperity, social inclusion and environmental sustainability. WISE works across disciplines and policy areas to design comprehensive responses that can match the complexity of the challenges faced by governments and ensure that people and their well-being remain at the heart of policy agendas. WISE works on topics ranging from inequalities of opportunity and poor social mobility, to loneliness, and promoting good well-being and mental health. Our work is grounded in the contexts of today’s policy priorities and global challenges, such as ageing, digitalization and new environmental challenges.

WISE is looking for an experienced and dynamic human and financial resources manager to lead the Resource Management Unit (RMU) of the Centre. The successful candidate will lead a small team, currently consisting of one administrative assistant, potentially expanding as needs evolve. The selected candidate will provide managerial guidance and support on all human and financial resources management activities in the Centre, including contributing to the Directorate’s strategy and smooth operation, and building effective relationships with internal and external partners. The selected candidate will be particularly closely involved in the end-to-end management of voluntary contributions (VCs), including donor liaison on financial matters. She/he will also be responsible for managing the workflow of the Unit as a whole, ensuring effective prioritisation and timely delivery of tasks. She/he will support the WISE Management Group and develop tailored processes, procedures and guidance as needed, as well as implementing OECD-wide policies and ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines. She/he will report to the Director, working in close collaboration with other Heads of Unit and staff at all levels within WISE and with central OECD services.
