Job Description
The Industrial Electrician will maintain all electrical equipment in the facility, including the plant machinery, structures, and component parts on which work is being performed.
The Industrial Electrician will:
- Analyze and interpret one lines, wiring diagrams, sketches and diagrams to select a logistical approach to troubleshooting, tracing, and testing circuits
- Repair and install electrical or electronic equipment and component parts
- Modify, maintain and install PLC programs
- Perform electrical isolation of equipment for safety of self and others, while minimizing interference to operations
- Advise operators, mechanics and other electrical maintenance personnel of standard operating procedures and requirements for electrical equipment and controls
The Industrial Electrician should have:
- Strong knowledge of electrical principles and wiring specification codes
- Strong working knowledge of PLCs, electronic drive systems, power distribution equipment, phase motors (single and 3 phase), control instrumentation and VFDs
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Basic PC literacy (Word, email, data entry)
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have a current Industrial Electrician 442a or Construction & Maintenance 309a Red Seal license
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate using English language
- Must have at least 2 years work experience as an electrician in a heavy manufacturing/industrial environment
- Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule, with holiday and weekend requirements
- Must be authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis.

Hourly Wage: The hourly wage for this position is $47.39
