Job Description

You will be responsible for providing operational and advisory support across EU Legal & Compliance so the business can execute safely and efficiently. The role will strengthen our capabilities in GDPR/document governance, compliance training & investigations support, corporate governance, and commercial contracting.

Core Responsibilities  

  • Privacy / GDPR operations: Maintain EU-wide legal documentation, Records of Processing Activities (ROPA), and privacy screenings; coordinate with stakeholders at Country level and ensure auditable completeness of files.
  • Compliance enablement: Organize training deployment, track completion, and provide support for policy reviews and helpline investigations; help monitor ethics & conduct policies (e.g., conflicts of interest, trade controls).
  • Corporate governance cadence: Prepare and follow the “legal calendar” for EU legal entities (AGMs, Boards), draft and assemble minutes and manage archiving.
  • Commercial contracts support: Draft, review, and standardize supply, sale, and procurement agreements; coordinate signatures and lifecycle tracking. Provide first-chair support on routine commercial agreements (NDAs/procurement/supply/sales), escalating complex items and own document and knowledge management across EU legal files.
  • Matter & external counsel coordination: Maintain trackers for litigations and pre-dispute claims; support selection and onboarding of outside counsel and optimize spend with disciplined documentation.
  • Cross-functional liaison: Partner with HR, IT, Finance, Procurement, and Plant leadership to implement EU-level policies and resolve day-to-day legal issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Advanced diploma in Law or Legal Studies; 3–5 years PQE (in-house or law firm).
  • Demonstrable experience in commercial contracting, privacy/GDPR, and compliance operations.
  • Multilingual ability is a plus.
