Job Description

The Plant Electro Maintenance Mechanic troubleshoots, installs, maintains, and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numerical controls, power supplies, drives, motors, gear boxes, bearings, gauges and test equipment.

The Plant Electro Maintenance Mechanic will:

  • Work from complex blue prints, wiring diagrams, shop and vendor manuals, layouts, and other specifications.
  • Calibrate equipment, check furnaces operating condition, monitor glass levels and inspects samples for defects.
  • Make minor adjustments and repairs and perform preventive maintenance functions as directed.

The Plant Electro Maintenance Mechanic should have:

  • Ability to work in a safe manner and in a team environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to read electrical/electronic diagrams/drawings, and an understanding of computers and related equipment is required.
  • Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines, in close quarters and hot areas performing analysis and repair work.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics and/or mechanical fields are required
  • Experience with AC/DC power distribution, high/low voltage applications, servo systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s), pneumatic, hydraulic, and electro-mechanical devices

Hourly Wage: The hourly wage for this position is $46.47
