Job Description

As an Industrial Millwright you will:

  • Install, repair, assemble and maintain plant machinery, equipment and structures. 
  • Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints
  • Works from complex blueprints, shop handbooks, layouts, and other specifications (written or verbal) to determine the materials and working procedures needed in the maintenance of plant machinery, equipment, and structures.
  • Welds, brazes, scrapes, solders, cuts, etc. various types of metals necessary for maintenance repairs and fabrication of new components and equipment.
  • Involved in rigging and scaffolding; moves heavy machinery and equipment; lubricates greases, oils, etc., plant machinery and equipment.
  • Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks.
  • Preparing and submitting maintenance reports.

Qualifications

The Industrial Millwright should have:

  • Must possess Industrial Millwright License with Red Seal Endorsement.
  • 5 years of related work experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
  • Must have experience using hand tools and power tools.
  • Must have experience and basic knowledge of computers and be able to enter PM activities
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to read blueprints, diagrams and drawings
  • Basic computer and report writing skills
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate using English language
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis
  • Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment
  • Good time-management skills

Hours of Work:

  • Continental: 6am to 6pm then 6pm to 6am (3-2-2)
