Job Description
As an Industrial Millwright you will:
- Install, repair, assemble and maintain plant machinery, equipment and structures.
- Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints
- Works from complex blueprints, shop handbooks, layouts, and other specifications (written or verbal) to determine the materials and working procedures needed in the maintenance of plant machinery, equipment, and structures.
- Welds, brazes, scrapes, solders, cuts, etc. various types of metals necessary for maintenance repairs and fabrication of new components and equipment.
- Involved in rigging and scaffolding; moves heavy machinery and equipment; lubricates greases, oils, etc., plant machinery and equipment.
- Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks.
- Preparing and submitting maintenance reports.
Qualifications
The Industrial Millwright should have:
- Must possess Industrial Millwright License with Red Seal Endorsement.
- 5 years of related work experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
- Must have experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Must have experience and basic knowledge of computers and be able to enter PM activities
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to read blueprints, diagrams and drawings
- Basic computer and report writing skills
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate using English language
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment
- Good time-management skills
Hours of Work:
- Continental: 6am to 6pm then 6pm to 6am (3-2-2)
