Job Description

Inverness Community Health Centre is seeking continuous or intermittent coverage for the year between now and October 2027 for a roster of 500 patients.

Responsibilities

  • delivery of comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness
  • work with other providers in the clinic to provide cross coverage and same day access
  • utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR which is accessible to all collaborating team members

Remuneration

  • guaranteed daily minimum income of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 or half-day)
  • additional shadow billings if above amount is exceeded.
  • accommodations up to $300 per night 
  • travel expenses (including air fare up to $1,500)
  • travel time up to 10 hours per week
  • licensing fees for College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSNS)

Inverness Community Health Centre is a rural family practice located within a collaborative community health centre .The practice offers a diverse team of providers, including family physicians, independently practicing nurse practitioners, family practice RNs, a Diabetic Education Clinic, social work, and a registered dietitian. Administrative support is shared with one other physician, and on-site Mental Health Services are located nearby. Adjacent to the local hospital, the clinic provides seamless access to additional services and resources.
