Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil, fit-out, and multi-disciplinary construction projects.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and BOQs to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
  • Develop competitive tender submissions and pricing strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Coordinate with procurement and planning teams to ensure cost optimization and resource alignment.
  • Implement digital estimation tools and maintain updated cost databases.
  • Conduct risk analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities during the bidding process.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and UAE regulations.
  • Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, cash flow forecasts, and value engineering proposals.
  • Monitor market trends, material prices, and labor rates to maintain competitive advantage.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
  • Professional certification (MRICS or equivalent) preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in estimation within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of market rates, materials, and labor costs.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in tendering for large-scale civil and fit-out projects.
  • Knowledge of UAE construction regulations and local authority requirements. (must)
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to interpret drawings.
  • Understanding of value of engineering (cost saving opportunities)
