What's the role?

As the Product Owner of Performance Reporting for Investment Products and Services, you are the expert on the platform and you work closely with IPS business stakeholders, IPS engineering, third party vendors, and other enterprise product/engineering teams in an agile mindset understanding the concepts of MVP, continuous improvement, and Plan Do Check Adjust. You deal with ambiguity and have the skills to pivot and swarm when necessary to align with business needs and strategy. A strategic thinker, you move between diverse tasks with cooperation and persistence, helping to bring out the best in those around you. You have the ability to collaborate with a diverse cross section of talented business, product, and engineering associates and provide a team first approach.

 

  1. Partner with the Product Manager to understand the long range IPS Performance Reporting vision
  2. Represents and engages with IPS business partners
  3. Creates and maintains the product backlog supporting the IPS Performance Reporting vision
  4. Prioritizes and sequences the backlog according to business value, strategy. Understands both the engineering and business side of the product released and is ultimately responsible for representing the end-users’ needs.
  5. Assists with the elaboration of Epics, Themes, and Features into user stories. Experience with Jira is a plus.
  6. Responsible for the product and product features from start to finish.  Key decision maker on priorities and design decisions, and works to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned.  Inspects product progress and has complete authority to accept or reject work done. Elaboration of Epics, Themes and Features can be presented into user stories that are granular enough to be achieved in a single sprint.
  7. Participates in the daily Scrums, Sprint Planning Meetings and Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives.
  8. Can change the course of the project at the end of every Sprint including terminating a Sprint if it determined that a drastic change in direction is required.
