Job Description
Northwestern Medicine is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team in DeKalb, IL and Sandwich, IL, located in the far western suburbs of Chicago. DeKalb, Illinois, is a vibrant city of roughly 40,000 residents located 60 miles west of Chicago. It balances a mix of urban and suburban atmospheres with strong agricultural roots, offering affordable housing, diverse culture, and numerous recreational activities. Sandwich, IL offers a "small-town" feel with a mix of rural charm and suburban convenience southwest of Chicago.
The Emergency Medicine Physician will have the opportunity to practice clinically in an innovative community hospital with advanced resources and technology as part of Northwestern Medicine’s integrated academic health system. In conjunction with clinical practice responsibilities, the physician will be responsible for providing supervision and instruction to all advanced practice providers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and other healthcare professionals
- Hospital privileges at NM Kishwaukee Hospital and Valley West Hospital
- Nurse and certified medical assistant support
- EPIC electronic health system
Qualifications
- Active Illinois Medical Licensure and DEA
- Board certified/eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Graduate of fully accredited medical school and successful completion of residency in Emergency Medicine
