Job Description
The Business Analyst reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
This position is responsible for leading the development of functional and non-functional business requirements, use cases, and process flows. The Business Analyst will facilitate and capture requirement elicitation by working with the Business Operations to understand business strategy and translate into requirements and/or use cases, ensuring Business Analysis processes, tools, and templates are being utilized across projects.
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to demonstrate ability to fulfill responsibilities of the Business Analyst Associate
- Identify and document emerging business requirements
- Intelligently question business partner and knowledge worker preferences to identify unique value drivers
- Properly prioritizes business lines and enterprise demands
- Accurately translates business requirements into functionality
- Manages requirements to meet performance expectations
- Understands industry-specific trends that impact the organization
- Clearly articulates benefits in business language
- Manage ambiguity and create accurate project effort estimates
- Accurately quantifies project-specific risks through the development lifecycle
- Identifies solution interdependencies
- Stays abreast of and creates awareness of technology developments related to business requirements
- Identify commonalities and suggests a consistent approach across projects in the absence of standards
- Guide team decision making
- Provide stakeholders with accurate view of challenges
- Effectively navigate conflict between multiple stakeholders
- Shares best practices, process, and environmental knowledge
Qualifications
Required:
- 2 years of Information Technology, business analysis specific experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, Exchange, Excel, Project and VISIO
- Knowledge of system architecture and application portfolio
- Knowledge of requirements management and/or prototyping tools (ALM, Jira, RallyDev, qTest, iRise)
- Ability to simplify & standardize complex concepts and/or processes
- Project management skills
- Requirements definition and management through different delivery methodologies
- SDLC, Iterative, Agile, OWF, and /or Scrum development
- Problem solving and/or analytical thinking
- Possess ability to manage workload, and manage multiple priorities, as applicable
- Excellent written and verbal communications
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology or related IT field
- Business process management and modeling
- BA Certification
- Experience working for Healthcare Provider
- Epic Certification
