Job Description

The System Security Integrator Supervisor reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

The System Security Integrator Supervisor plans, develops, installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and programs all west region security systems to include CDH, Delnor, Kishwaukee, Valley West, Marianjoy and all west region offsite locations with security systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains and supports current interfaces and application upgrades, including third party system applications for all west region properties to include CDH, Delnor, Kishwaukee, Valley West, Marianjoy and all offsite locations with security systems.
  • Performs all maintenance and change controls for security applications and systems.
  • Tracks all activity related to security systems service and repair.
  • Collaborates with security staff, end users, application vendors, IT, and other departments to coordinate and perform systems installations, upgrades and support.
  • Tracks system issues and resolutions using IT/Facilities support application.
  • Communicates problem resolution to all involved and coordinates as needed.
  • Creates, maintains, and updates all security system manuals, procedures and drawings.
  • Provides after hour support for security systems. IT provides access for system security technician to remote login to servers and PCs in order to trouble shoot and correct issues.
  • Training the security technician on security systems in the west region.
  • Project manage all non-construction related security system installations.
  • Project liaison with Facility Planning and Construction Department for all west region construction projects.
  • Maintains the Northwestern Medicine physical security standards for all sites supported.
  • Supervises and oversees daily activity of the Security Integrator.
  • Coordinates on call schedules.
  • Participates in the annual performance evaluation for the Security Integrator.
  • Participates in the interview process for the Security Integrator.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5 years of experience in IT system infrastructure card access (Prowatch and Genetec), camera systems (Genetec), intercom systems, and system programming.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Genetec and Prowatch system certifications. (Within six months of employment)
  • Ability to perform IT functions which include, but not limited to server maintenance, database backups, application upgrades, network closet integration.

Preferred:

  • Prior supervisory experience.
