Job Description

The Philanthropy Coordinator reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

 

​​​​​The Philanthropy Coordinator, Individual Giving focuses on supporting the Annual Giving, Leadership Annual Giving, and Mid-Level programs in all aspects of administrative support for the successful execution of the team’s goals and initiatives. This position reports to the Manager Philanthropy, Individual Giving

Responsibilities

 

  • Support the Annual Giving program in collaboration with other Foundation teams and the Northwestern Memorial HealthCare Donor Communications team on the creative and technical execution of direct response tactics.
  • This role is the primary point of contact for all inquiries through the Foundation’s main phone line and email inbox.
  • Provide support where needed for annual donors which may include solicitation calls, thank you calls and assistance creating/developing supporting materials for solicitations.
  • Monitor deliverables of direct response solicitations to ensure timely deployment.
  • General Annual Giving, Leadership Annual Giving, and Mid-Level Portfolio administrative support.
  • Primary contact for all parties requesting tribute pages. Responsible for intake; collaboration with Gift Processing for designation; initial editing of content for brand standards; facilitation of page build with the Data Management team; timely correspondence/reporting with the tribute owner. 

 

 

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years equivalent work experience;
  • 1+ years of experience in a fundraising, community outreach, healthcare or administrative support position, preferably in a non-profit organization;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
  • Ability to organize and think independently with orientation to deadline and detail;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • High degree of professionalism, sensitivity and integrity;
  • Strong intellectual curiosity, initiative, and highly effective listening and communication skills;
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, communicate effectively, track details;
  • Demonstrate a high level of flexibility in a team environment;
  • Comfort handling multiple projects, accurately setting priorities on a regular basis, thinking creatively and working as a collaborative team member.

Preferred:

  • Fundraising industry experience.
  • Healthcare industry experience.
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge database.
