Job Description

The MRI Technologist - PI MRI reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Under the general supervision of the Manager, operates MRI equipment to obtain optimum images for MRI procedures.  Perform all duties and responsibilities in a manner that is appropriate for the individual and consistent with Palos Imaging, LLC's guiding principles.

This position is part-time, 40 hours per pay period, 8-hour day shift, 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. during the week and every Saturday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

This position will assist with staffing needs at both sites:  Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital and Northwestern Medicine Orland Park Palos Imaging.

Qualifications

Required

  • Registered ARRT w/MRI certification or ARMRIT
  • CPR – Basic Life Support
  • Physical Demands: A physical demands test provides an objective way to identify if a candidate can meet the essential tasks for the job the candidate has applied for at Northwestern Medicine. The testing protocol was established with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).
  • Job Role Requirement: 50 lbs lift 20 inch/carry. Push/pull 50 lbs

Preferred

  • Bachelor of Science Degree
  • Two years of MRI experience
  • One year of Rad Tech experience
