Job Description
**This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week located at Lake Forest Hospital. **
The Resource Coordinator Central Transport reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
- To support throughput, monitors and manages all aspects of the EPIC software system for Patient Transport and EVS; including entering requests, adjusting priorities, assignment audits, employee breaks, and appointments.
- Performs the dispatch functions for Patient Transport and EVS.
- Assesses departmental needs for assigned shift and monitors volume trends to ensure patients are being transported in a safe and timely manner.
- Assist manager in ensuring that all Infection Control guidelines are presented to/practiced by the staff.
- Responsible for running and maintaining key reports through the EPIC software, such as response times, employee productivity, and data for departmental dashboard.
- Assist manager in the creation and maintenance of the employee schedule, addressing both long-term and daily staffing levels to achieve departmental timeliness goals.
- Assists manager in the selection process of new staff members.
- Assists manager in the orientation and ongoing training of all transporters and dispatchers (both new and existing); follows up on performance deficiencies.
- Provides input to manager on staff performance.
- Identifies and communicates critical situations involving the transport of patients or non-patients in accordance with departmental timeliness goals.
- Transports patients when volumes are heavy.
- Serves in a backup capacity for employee timekeeping and/or reporting (Kronos).

Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- BLS through American Heart Association (within 90 days of employment)
Preferred:
- At least 1 year experience with Patient Transport
