Job Description

•72 bed unit serving adult general medical and medical oncology patients

•Patient population includes young adults (age 18) to geriatric.

•Adult medical: The majority of patients are admitted with gastrointestinal disorders and heart or lung conditions ranging from acute episodes to chronic. Others diagnoses include; uncontrolled metabolic disorders, infectious processes, skin integrity disorders, neurological and circulatory impairment, as well as secondary conditions such as kidney disease or diabetes.

•Medical Oncology: Medical Oncology patients and palliative/hospice.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Nursing students who have completed one clinical rotation
  • Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or nursing school students  with one semester of clinical completed
  • CPR - Basic Life Support
