Job Description

The Safety Security Officer reflects the mission, vision, and values of NMHC, adheres to the organizations Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts the daily operation of all safety and security systems and services provided by the department which includes interior and exterior patrols to ensure the security of the facility and grounds, responding to all calls for assistance and initiating investigations for all security related incidents.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 1-3 years of related work experience required, demonstrating a working knowledge of the job responsibilities and methods.
  • 1 to 2 years specialized or technical training, or equivalent, following successful completion of high school.
  • Completion of CPI class within 1 year of employment and completion of IAHS training within 6 months of hire.

Preferred:

  • Previous law enforcement experience and self-defense courses preferred.
