Job Description

North 40 Outfitters in Spokane, WA (Trent Location), is looking to hire a Full-Time Salaried Store Manager to join our team.  We believe that each team member plays a vital role in the success of our company.  We are looking for authentic and enthusiastic people who love our lifestyle and believe in service before self. 

As a Store Manager with North 40 Outfitters, you will need to possess extensive knowledge of farm and ranch retail operations, strong sales ability, and a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced environment. The position involves coaching and leading the store team, driving sales and profitability, maintaining operational and merchandising standards, and promoting safety while protecting company assets. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to motivate, coach, and direct employees, set goals, and provide consistent follow-up. Success requires strong organizational skills, effective multitasking, and proven sales techniques, as well as experience in retail management, public relations, and adapting to local culture. Knowledge of outdoor recreation, animal health, tools, and hardware is a plus. This full-time role requires schedule flexibility, including weekends and some holidays, and typically involves working 55–60 hours per week.

  • Ability to complete operational, administrative and safety tasks on all levels
  •  Partner and communicate effectively with various departments within the home office and the executive leadership team
  • Manage scheduling and staffing according to business needs
  • Willingness to relocate if needed
  • Understanding of correct lifting and loading techniques.  Physical ability to lift and carry 0-15 lbs. continuously, 15-50 lbs. frequently, and 50-55 lbs. occasionally, and team lift anything over 55 lbs.  Spending 100% of work time on your feet, including use of ladders, rolling staircases and pallet jacks.
