Job Description
Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Resupply Specialist position. The Resupply Specialist accurately and efficiently creates resupply orders verifying insurance authorization. The role communicates with customers to resolve questions or concerns, provide appropriate solutions within time limits, and follow up to ensure resolution. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible that all centralized resupply orders are started within 2 business days
- Communicate with Norco customers clearly, informative, and professionally
- Verify Norco can be paid by insurance prior to sending supplies to customer. This would include but not limited to verifying authorization and current Rx is on file.
- Add modifiers to resupply orders when required
- Communicates and resolves problems with patients, departments, branches, and insurers
- Communicate and follow all company policies, procedures, and safety rules
- Become experts in the equipment dispensing to know which items go together and ones that do not to provide high level customer service.
- Prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Complete understanding of medical software used by Norco (on-the-job training)
- Perform basic mathematics calculations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent public relations skills, especially in explaining decisions with empathy and tact
- Accurately enter data into computer
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Adaptability to frequent changes in priorities, fast pace of work
- Attention to detail is critical to process information effectively and accurately from multiple sources
