Job Description

Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Medical Store Manager position. The Medical Store Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of his/her store. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Educates and enforces stores staff on the laws, codes and regulations (i.e. FDA, DOT and OSHA) that pertain to services and equipment provided by Norco Medical
  • Plans, implements and documents staff meetings and education programs
  • Supervises the testing, evaluating, documentation and maintenance of adequate inventory level of liquid and compressed gaseous oxygen
  • Evaluates, documents and rectifies all safety hazards in and around the office and warehouse
  • Works with store personnel and clinical specialists to meet all customer requirements
  • Responsible for making sure profit margins are maintained at an acceptable level in accordance with guidelines set forth by the Zone and Medical Vice Presidents
  • Hire, discipline, and terminate staff, as needed
  • Coordinate staffing schedules, track employee attendance, punctuality
  • Lead, train, develop and motivate department’s employees
  • Oversee the activities of the department’s employees
  • Prioritize and delegate job tasks to staff to ensure timely completion
  • Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary

Qualifications

  • Prior sales and management experience preferred
  • Ability to effectively supervise and manage personnel
  • Strong organizational and problem solving skills; detail oriented
  • One year experience in home health operation or Norco medical store operations
  • Ability to effectively supervise and manage personnel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. frequently and up to 75 lbs. occasionally, to a height of 36"
  • Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to accurately enter data into computer, working knowledge of necessary software applications
