Job Description
Norco, Inc. is currently offering a signing bonus of $1,500 for this position. Details of the signing bonus can be discussed during the interview. (Applies to full-time direct new hires only)
The following essential duties may be carried out with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Serve as the primary resource and a subject matter expert for company leaders on employee relations issues
- Lead workplace investigations based on allegations of employee misconduct or employee complaints, working with outside counsel as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of company investigations and employee discipline
- Respond to claims for unemployment insurance benefits; facilitate the company’s participation in hearings, when scheduled. Track unemployment insurance claim success rates, and report quarterly to Executive Leadership Team
- Serve as the resource and a subject matter expert for ADA workplace accommodations due to disabilities; maintain the accommodations log for the company
- Supports employee trainings in Employee Relations area based on the company’s training strategy and need
- Manage the company’s Affirmative Action Plan (AAP). Collaborate with the Norco sites responsible to maintain an AAP to develop and execute an annual AAP plan
- Responsible for oversight of various HR compliance monitoring, auditing, and reporting obligations
- Meet periodically with regional leadership to review employee relations concerns and solutions
- Works with Third party benefits administrator on employee leave related matters
- Support new manager training program; provide relevant HR content
- Collaborate in creation of employee communications
- Follow safe work practices in performance of all duties and follow the company’s safety policies daily
- Perform other tasks as assigned or needed
- Stay informed of and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Work well with a team
Qualifications
Education or Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree preferred (preferably in business, human resources, organizational development, business administration, finance, or related field)
- 3+ years of experience conducting workplace investigation preferred
- 3+ years of experience advising leaders on employee relations matters preferred
- Experience developing and delivering employee and leader training preferred
License or Certificate Required:
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM certification preferred
