Job Description

Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Medical AR Supervisor position. The Medical AR Supervisor is expected to provide strong leadership to a team of employees who are performing detailed account receivable follow up and denial audits in a timely and proficient manner. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze denial trends and prepare analysis for management review
  • Perform root cause analysis on denial trends as directed
  • Assist in identified areas of need and enter additional claim information or correct patient demographic and insurance information into the medical claim software
  • Be available to answer AR questions and make decisions regarding complex accounts where staff needs assistance

Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree or degree in Health Information Management preferred
  • Understand ICD-9/ICD-10 diagnosis codes in relation to billing guidelines
  • Knowledgeable on the insurance process, medical terminology, and coding
  • Understand and remember various accounting codes and how to appropriately use them
  • Ability to accurately enter data into computers and acquire a working knowledge of any software applications necessary to the position
  • Perform basic mathematics calculations
