Job Description

Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Cryogenic Service Technician position. The Cryogenic Service Technician is responsible for performing routine plant and facilities maintenance. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Installation and maintenance of cryogenic and compressed gas systems at Norco production facilities and customer sites
  • Perform calibration of gauges, thermometers, and flowmeters at Norco production facilities and customer sites
  • Perform annual inspections that include hospitals, metalworking shops, cylinder fill plants, mines, food manufacturing plants, etc.
  • Perform site surveys of potential customers for compliance with specifications
  • Regular travel in Norco service truck that may include being out of home base up to 4 nights per week, as needed
  • Maintain work area in a neat and clean manner
  • Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary
  • Wage: $20-$27.00/Hr Depending on Experience

Qualifications

  • Brazing certification or ability/willingness to obtain
  • Valid drivers license
  • MSHA card or ability/willingness to obtain
  • State licenses as required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, squat, or kneel for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work with hand tools and other mechanical equipment
  • Mechanical aptitude with desire to learn the business
  • Ability to troubleshoot systems with phone support and product manuals
  • Previous knowledge of cylinders and gases is helpful
