Job Description
As the Team Manager Transport you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations & achieving the qualitative and quantitative transport of the companies objectives. You will manage a team of 6 Fte, comprising the Senior Planner and the Transport Team Leader. Indirectly, you hold responsibility for approximately 60 employees.
In addition to the day-to-day operations you will focus on establishing this new role within the organization and implementing the new structure within the Transport team. Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, you assume full responsibility for the entire Transport department. The Senior Transport Planner is responsible for coordinating all transportation activities for the company, leading a team of 5 planners. This encompasses customer deliveries, transfers between production locations and warehouses, averaging 200 to 300 shipments daily.
Qualifications
- HBO-level thinking & working;
- Relevant working experience in Transport and/or Logistics sector;
- Managerial experience and comfortable in guiding change processes;;
- Knowledge and experience with TMS, Control Tower, or Route Planning apps are a plus, as is experience in guiding selection processes and eventual implementation;
- Can do' mentality with hands-on & pragmatic approach;
- You are a connector;
- Good communication skills;
- Fluent in Dutch & English (verbally & written).
