Combined role:

IT Senior Business Analyst

The IT Senior Business Analyst plays a lead role in designing, developing, and ensuring the system performance is scalable and available across the manufacturing sites in  the EMEA region. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for gathering requirements for the implementation of functions solution, taking into consideration the future goals of the business and the overall IT solution architecture.

The Senior Business Analyst works closely with (key-) users and management to understand, improve, and implement business requirements and has an understanding of the overall direction and requirements of the companies business concerning products, customer needs, quality, distribution requirements, and sales goals. As many implementations and changes to existing processes are managed as projects, you will be responsible to lead small to medium-sized projects (incl. budget & resources) and work with external vendors.

 

Site IT Liaison

As the Site IT Liaison you will support the General Manager and Senior Leadership Team functions for the manufacturing sites in Shannon & Galway. The role of Site IT Liaison is to simplify the communication channels being the Go-to IT person in order to facilitate on site local IT interactions; information sharing and promote the effective use of IT processes.

As the Site IT Liaison you are responsible for budget management of IT operational running costs for the two sites, you will be the point of escalation for IT site challenges and needs local to the two sites. The Site IT liaison leads and coordinates the IT service delivery and network personnel on site and maintains close working relationships with their reporting line managers in order to drive support on issues and upcoming changes impacting Shannon & Galway. Ensure smooth running of operations for manufacturing teams and support functions. This will require 4 days based out of Shannon and Galway and occasional travel to other sites across EMEA.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage Site IT Liaison role with monthly communication and reporting;
  • Part of Business Leadership Team to be informed about day-to-day issues;
  • Part of IT communication matrix to receive general IT information relevant for business sites;
  • Communicate and remind high risks identified and critical action items pending related to IT;
  • Budget owner for IT operations Capex and Opex running costs;
  • IT Staffing and onsite co-ordination;
  • Collect, prepare and present IT systems during audits;
  • Drive IT continuous improvement for Shannon and Galway;
  • Maintain IT vendor relationships;
  • Analyze new business requirements or problems and provide the state of the art for IT solutions;
  • To communicate documented analysis and executive summary with IT recommendation;
  • Translate IT solutions in technical speciation’s and provide it to IT Delivery CoE’s;
  • Achieve successful IT Projects Delivery;
  • Participate actively to document Feasibility Study;
  • For small to medium size projects assigned: setup project plan with tasks, milestones, timeline, dependencies and budget. Define resource requirements;
  • Map and document IT applications functions;
  • Lead IT project full cycle implementation (Waterfall or Agile);
  • Compare IT applications functions across current and future applications;
  • Define IT EMEA Applications Strategies aligned with global ones;
  • To communicate documented analysis and executive summary with IT recommendation;
  • Translate IT solutions in technical speciation’s and provide it to IT Delivery CoE’s:
  • Keep systems and applications in a validated state according to legal and corporate requirements with respect to, e.g. FDA, TüV and SOX.

Qualifications

Education:

  • B.S. degree in business, computer science or information systems or 3-5 years equivalent work experience

Professional experience:

  • Communicates clearly and concisely both verbal and written;
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with business users on all levels ;
  • Has strong analytical skills to be able to quickly identify underlying problems and design solutions to these problems;
  • Able to clearly explain and present solutions to users and management and get their buy-in/approval;
  • Can facilitate change and persuade users and management;
  • Able to switch from high-level to hands-on when necessary.

Special expertise:

  • Business process digitalization ;
  • Is aware of the legal requirements and corporate guidelines concerning system validation for, e.g., FDA. TüV, SOX, etc. ;
  • Is aware of the legal requirements and corporate guidelines concerning electronic data records;
  • Knowledge of Medical Device\Health care Industry and manufacturing processes and terminology;
  • Fluent in English is mandatory any other additional language is a plus.

  • Is creative and innovative but also realistic;
  • Can work independently, set the right priorities, and is a self-starter;
  • Is flexible of mind and willing to continuously learn requirements of other functional area.
