The Senior IT Business Analyst plays a lead role in designing, developing, and ensuring the system performance is scalable and available. The Senior IT Business Analyst is responsible for gathering requirements for the implementation of functions solution and design the TO-BE solution, taking into consideration the future goals of the business and the overall IT solution architecture.  

The Senior IT Business Analyst works closely with (key-) users and management to understand, improve, and implement business requirements. The Senior IT Business Analyst has an understanding of the overall direction and requirements of the companies business concerning products, customer needs, quality, distribution requirements, and sales goals. 

As many implementations and changes to existing processes are managed as projects, the Senior IT Business Analyst will be responsible to lead small to medium-sized projects (including project budget and resources) and work with external vendors (e.g., consultants). 

General responsibilities 

To establish IT EMEA Applications Strategies for Logistic and Supply Chain areas:

• Map and document IT applications functions; 
• Compare IT applications functions across current and future applications; 
• Define IT EMEA Applications Strategies aligned with global ones.

To analyze new business requirements or problems and provide the state of the art for IT solutions:

• To communicate documented analysis and executive summary with IT recommendation; 
• Translate IT solutions in technical speciation’s and provide it to IT Delivery CoE’s; 

To lead small and medium IT Demands: 

• Lead business requirements gathering discussion and business case estimation; 
• Perform the intake process in the dedicate application; 
• Lead a team of IT system experts in the delivery of the solution to meet business expectations; 
• Follow-up with business requestors for successful IT solution delivery.

To achieve successful IT Projects Delivery: 

• Participate actively to document Feasibility Study; 
• Lead Intake process following the company procedure; 
• Lead IT project full cycle implementation (Waterfall or Agile).

To document glossary for key Operations and/or Quality elements: 

• Collect information from LMS training and business partners; 
• Review and communicate the glossary with business partners and IT EMEA team.

Education: 

• Bachelor degree in business, computer science or information systems and/or 3-5 years equivalent work experience. 

Working experience: 

• Communicates clearly and concisely both verbal and written; 
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with business users on all levels; 
• Has strong analytical skills to be able to quickly identify underlying problems and design solutions to these problems; 
• Able to clearly explain and present solutions to users and management and get their buy-in/approval; 
• Can facilitate change and persuade users and management; 
• Able to switch from high-level to hands-on when necessary. 

Special expertise: 

• Is aware of the legal requirements and corporate guidelines concerning system validation for, e.g., FDA. TüV, SOX, etc.; 
• Is aware of the legal requirements and corporate guidelines concerning electronic data records.; 
• SAP experienced (& S4Hanna); 
• Is aware of Medical Device\Health Care Industry; 
• A knowledge of EU MDR is a plus. 

Languages 

• Strong English (and German is a plus) Skills. 

Personal skills requirements: 

• Is creative and innovative but also realistic; 
• Can work independently, set the right priorities, and is a self-starter; 
• Is flexible of mind and willing to continuously learn requirements of other functional areas. 

Travel Requirements  

20 - 25% (a cross EMEA).
