Job Description

The Sales Representative will take care of all the sales relationships with clients in the Northern part of The Netherlands and will be responsible to maintain and build strong & long-lasting relationships with existing- and new customers. In this role you will also act as ambassador of the company, present new products and be a point of reference for different partners.

As Sales Representative you are expected to:

  • Achieve personal budgeted sales and individual product targets for the assigned territory whilst increasing profitability by adherence to company pricing policies;
  • In cooperation with the Sales Manager you will develop and execute an annual sales plan for the assigned territory and specify into sales action plan;
  • Sell the company's range of products and services as directed by management strategies;
  • To acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of the companies products including a full appreciation of comparisons with competitor products;
  • To maintain a full understanding of the competitive environment within which the company operates;
  • Keeping up to date on key policy, competitor and regulatory issues within the industry;
  • Actively support divisional sales strategies under the guidance of the Regional Sales Manager;
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with all related surgeons and allied personnel on the assigned region;
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with all relevant others within the company (internal customers – team members/customer service/warehouse etc);
  • Perform stock checks of consignment instrumentation and consignment stocks monthly & return allied reports annually as directed by the Regional Sales Manager/Logistics Manager;
  • Administrate prospects/ leads/ projects etc. on a daily base in the digital Customer Relation Management System (Salesforce);
  • Define and follow up leads-projects within the appropriate company process tools (grid blue sheet). To provide on a monthly basis a SMART report to the Regional Sales Manager, outlining performance, activities and competitive situation;
  • Cross-selling in cooperation with other colleagues from the Sales department;
  • To provide forecasts and market research information to divisional management in the required format and within specified deadline;
  • To undertake other duties such as attendance at sales meetings, exhibitions, staff training etc. when required by the Regional Sales Manager;
  • Providing training for OR staff and surgeons and residents of new/existing customers;

Qualifications

Requirements

Training and professional experience:;

  • Completed HBO education/ bachelor degree in Business or equivalent in medical devices;
  • Experienced in medical devices and or good basic medical knowledge;
  • At least min. 3 yrs of professional sales experience (preferably in medical devices);
  • Proven track record of successful achieving targets in sales;
  • Selling & negotiating techniques;
  • Presentations skills;
  • Good understanding of analyzing and report on numerical and written data information.
