Job Description

The Senior Marketing Manager ​will lead the strategy and implementation of all marketing and brand campaigns throughout the year, and will be responsible for driving Good Food Month ticket revenue, registration and attendance for the Night Noodle Markets, plus achieving all commercial partners’ contracted benefits and KPIs.

This role will be based predominantly at Nine’s Head Office in North Sydney. With some travel and flexibility.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to;

  • Marketing budget management and forecasting 

  • Ability to create, negotiate and manage strategic media partnerships

  • Developing the advertising strategy within both the Nine network and externally

  • Leading the team to optimising social media strategy

  • Overseeing regular eDM communications, managing customer journeys and implementation of automations for UX

  • Audience acquisition optimisation 

  • PR management and optimisation

  • Digital agency management and optimisation

  • Developing design and creative briefs

  • Solid understanding of each partner’s objectives and KPIs 

  • Understanding of the target demographic and ensuring the marketing campaign is optimized to drive ticket sales and event attendance, within budget and on time

  • Build strong working relationships with all internal departments - operations, event manager(s), sponsorship, editorial and advertising.

  • Managing a small team of both employees and external contractors/agencies with a focus on individuals career progression, work life balance and enjoyment of role. 

  • Managing Marketing reporting post event and annually.

  • Complying with ACMA, APP and also other relevant legally bound policies at all times

  • Managing crisis communications with the Senior Leadership Team and having understanding of the OH&S policies and procedures around Events.

  • Leading the broader Food Events team with the Senior Leadership Team with an inclusive and positive attitude to assist in building and developing the broader team.

Qualifications

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Min. 5 years marketing experience in a similar role

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills are a must, with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and agility to work with tight deadlines

  • Internal and external stakeholder management

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud, MailChimp & Campaign Monitor experience

  • Wordpress experience & a thorough understanding of best practice SEO

  • Google Analytics experience, including setting up Goals & Ecommerce, and Dashboard reporting

  • AdWords experience - setting up, optimising and reporting

  • Competent experience with creating social content, scheduling & reporting

  • Events & sponsorship marketing experience

  • Solid understanding of the Australian media landscape including Nine and non-Nine publishers

  • Proven project management skills, from inception to execution

  • Ability to work autonomously and with flexibility - this role will require some after hours work including evenings, weekend and interstate work, when events are live.

  • Successful management skills and track record leading and growing a marketing team

  • Strong team work ethic and ability to work flexibly cross teams

  • Content creation skills 

  • Industry and stakeholder relationships in Hospitality, PR, Marketing and Sponsorship
