Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic Admissions Advisor to join our team May 13th 2019.  This position serves as a first point of contact for the Admissions department, providing superior customer service to prospective students.  The Admissions Advisor contributes to the effective recruitment and enrollment of new students to Nightingale College. This position requires a highly energetic person with a strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills.

Reporting to the Admissions Manager, the Admissions Advisor participates in College-wide and departmental activities and meetings as needed.

Functions & Responsibilities:

·         Enter all new inquiry information in learner database management system.

·         Receive incoming department calls, directs calls to appropriate personnel, as needed.

·         Make 50-75 outgoing phone calls in response to inquiries each day. 

·         Follow the Discover, Commit, Start Application process with all new inquiries

·         Schedule Follow-up correspondence with the prospective learners.

·         Assist in community awareness by helping with community fairs, health fairs, career fairs, seminars,              open houses, etc.

·         By following the New Inquiry Phone Script, set appointments with prospective learners.

·         Conduct discover interviews with prospective learners.

·         Conduct commitment follow up interviews with prospective learners.

·         Answer questions about the Nursing Program.

·         Ensure proper tracking of all inquiries.

·         Track and document daily phone calls and all correspondence with prospective learners in the                        database management system.

·         Provide a daily report to Assistant Manager, Admissions (DAR).

·         Schedule all entrance and challenge exams.

·         Complete Transfer of Credit Forms for Registrar.

·         Create all program plans for learners based on transcript evaluation.

·         Collect all required documentation required for enrollment.

·         Establish, with the Admissions Assistant Manager, weekly, monthly and quarterly goals.

·         Maintain the standards in the Admissions Department consistent with the College’s Values and                      Mission.

·         Collaborative with the financial aid department, Learner services department, and nursing                              department to provide the highest level of service for enrolling learners.

·         Other duties as assigned.

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

·         Ability to work independently and as a committed team player.

·         Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability work with a wide range of individuals in            a diverse community.

·         Ability to use technology, including student and data management systems, word processing, and                  Excel, efficiently and appropriately.

·         Ability to manage time effectively.

·         Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling              of  words, rules of composition, and grammar.



  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED), required.
  • AS degree or BS degree or higher, preferred

·         Experience working in an education setting, preferred.

·         Clerical experience, preferred.

·         Business Casual/Professional Dress Required

Annual Salary- 40K-45K

Additional Information

The typical work environment is located at the College’s Operations Support Center (OSC) and working remotely from home.  The work is performed in two primary modes – at the OSC at a desk, using a computer, a telephone.
