Job Description

Faculty is responsible for the following:

•      Attending a faculty orientation session. 

•      Teaching and evaluating assigned online courses. 

•      Monitoring student performance in accordance with course objectives and published schedules under the Faculty Coordinator, General Education. 

•      Assisting students with study problems and with evaluating their potential for successful achievement in course or discipline. 

•      Maintaining accurate performance records of students, and submitting required reports according to published deadlines. 

•      Maintaining expertise in online delivery systems to increase communication between faculty and students. 

•      Attending faculty meetings and other faculty activities as required.

Qualifications

 

  • Experience using Canvas/Pearson highly recommended 
  • Masters Degree in English, Literature, Composition, or a related field.  
  • Experience teaching undergraduate students in the online setting
  • Experience in curriculum development is preferred.

 

Additional Information

This is a part-time and or PRN online course, taught in the comfort of your own home and use video and tele conferencing to communicate with learners, as well as email.   There would be a one week training located in Utah January 14th or February 25th.  Travel to Utah is required for other training purposes.
