Nightingale College is a single-purpose, private institution of higher learning, currently based in Ogden, Utah, dedicated to advancing the quality of and access to professional nursing education.
The above position could be based in Ogden, Utah at present. We anticipate moving campus operations in Salt Lake City, UT by the end of 2017. We anticipate the Advisor, Admissions to be able to work remotely as opportunities to do so present (we are currently thinking approximately 2 days per week, possibly more).

The College's Associate Degree Nursing Program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), while the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program is a candidate for accreditation with the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Its current CEO, Mikhail Shneyder, is a registered nurse, dedicated to making a positive impact on health in the U.S. and across global communities.

This position serves as a first point of contact for the Admissions department, providing superior customer service to prospective students. The Advisor, Admissions contributes to the effective recruitment and enrollment of new students to Nightingale College. This position requires a highly energetic person with a strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills.
Reporting to the Admissions Manager, the Advisor, Admissions participates in College-wide and departmental activities and meetings as needed.
Functions & Responsibilities:
-Enters all new inquiry information in student database management system.
-Receives incoming department calls, directs calls to appropriate personnel, as needed.
-Greets and assists prospective students, student families, and other visitors.
-Makes outgoing phone calls in response to inquiries each day.
-Schedules follow-up correspondence with the prospective students.
-Assists in community awareness by helping with community fairs, health fairs, career fairs, seminars, open houses, etc.
-Sets appointments with prospective students by following the New Inquiry Phone Script
-Conducts interviews/tours with prospective students.
-Answers questions about the Nursing Program.
-Ensures that all new enrollments have all required documentation.
-Ensures proper tracking of all inquiries.
-Tracks and document daily phone calls and all correspondence with prospective students in the database management system.
-Provides a daily report to Admissions Manager (DAR).
-Establishes, with the Admissions Manager, weekly, monthly and quarterly goals.
-Maintains the standards in the Admissions Department consistent with the College’s Values and Mission.
-Collaborates with the financial aid department, student services department, and nursing department to provide the highest level of service for enrolling students.
-Assists in covering the front desk as may be required.
-Other duties as assigned.
-High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED), required.
-AS degree or BS degree or higher preferred.
-Excellent communication skills.
-Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
-Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
-Strong time-management and organizational skills.
-Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
-Experience working in an education setting, preferred.
