As part of our Tech & Durable Insights team, you will work with clients across industries such as consumer electronics, smartphones, PCs, smart devices, home appliances, wearables, and other technology-driven categories. You will be responsible for leading quantitative research projects, generating actionable consumer insights, and helping clients solve business challenges related to innovation, brand growth, customer experience, and market strategy.
This role is ideal for a research professional who combines strong quantitative research expertise with a genuine curiosity about technology, consumer behavior, and emerging market trends.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Management & Consulting
- Build strong relationships with clients and become a trusted partner for consumer insights and business recommendations.
- Understand clients’ business objectives, strategic priorities, and key challenges.
- Support senior stakeholders in identifying research needs and translating business questions into effective research solutions.
- Present findings and recommendations to client teams, including marketing, innovation, product, and strategy stakeholders.
- Ensure a high level of client satisfaction through quality delivery and proactive communication.
Quantitative Research Leadership
- Manage end-to-end quantitative research projects from proposal development through final reporting.
- Design and execute a variety of research methodologies, including:
- Brand Health Tracking
- Usage & Attitude (U&A) Studies
- Customer Experience (CX) Research
- Concept & Product Testing
- Innovation Research
- Customer Segmentation
- Advertising & Communication Evaluation
- Customer Journey Research
- Market Opportunity Assessment
- Develop questionnaires and research frameworks aligned with client objectives.
- Oversee project execution to ensure quality, timeline, and budget requirements are met.
- Collaborate with operations and analytical teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Data Analysis & Insight Generation
- Analyze consumer research data and transform findings into meaningful business insights.
- Identify consumer trends, unmet needs, purchase drivers, and innovation opportunities.
- Integrate multiple data sources to provide a holistic understanding of consumer behavior.
- Develop compelling insight narratives and strategic recommendations.
- Create impactful reports and client presentations that support decision-making.
Technology & Durable Industry Expertise
- Develop a strong understanding of the Technology and Durable Goods industries, including:
- Consumer Electronics
- Smartphones & Mobile Devices
- PCs & Computing
- Smart Home Products
- Home Appliances
- Wearable Technology
- Consumer Technology Services
- Stay informed about market developments, emerging technologies, and evolving consumer behaviors.
- Apply industry knowledge to help clients identify growth opportunities and competitive advantages.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with qualitative researchers, analytics teams, customer success teams, and commercial colleagues.
- Support junior team members through coaching and project guidance.
- Share best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate across local and regional teams to deliver integrated consumer insights solutions.
Qualifications
- 3-6 years of experience in market research, consumer insights, customer insights, or related consulting roles.
- Strong experience in quantitative research methodologies and data interpretation.
- Experience independently managing research projects and client interactions.
- Exposure to Technology, Consumer Electronics, Durable Goods, Telecommunications, Digital Services, or related industries is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate research findings into actionable business recommendations.
- Strong presentation and storytelling capabilities.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SPSS, Q, Tableau, Power BI, or other analytics tools is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese.
