Job Description

What is the job purpose? 

  • Independently execute and own key components of marketing research projects, from project setup and analysis through interpretation, reporting, and delivery. 
  • Transform complex research and market data into clear insights, implications, and recommendations, developing compelling stories that address our clients' business questions. 
  • Act as a trusted project partner to Client Consulting teams, proactively identifying issues, opportunities, and solutions throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Contribute to strong client relationships and repeat business by consistently delivering high-quality work and demonstrating a strong understanding of client needs and business context. 
  • Provide guidance and coaching to Analysts and more junior team members, supporting quality, consistency, and capability development across the team. 

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage and execute projects or significant project workstreams across a variety of clients and countries, ensuring agreed-upon milestones, timelines, and quality standards are met. 
  • Take ownership of the quality of client deliverables, working in partnership with Client Consulting teams and proactively identifying and resolving potential issues. 
  • Analyze and interpret research results, connecting multiple data points and sources to identify meaningful insights and business implications. 
  • Develop compelling reports and presentations, moving beyond data reporting to articulate clear narratives, conclusions, and actionable recommendations. 
  • Exercise judgment in determining the most relevant analyses and approaches needed to answer client business questions. 
  • Play an active role in client discussions and presentations, confidently explaining findings, responding to questions, and contributing to conversations around implications and recommendations. 
  • Develop a strong understanding of clients' businesses, categories, and markets to bring relevant context to analyses and recommendations. 
  • Review the work of junior team members and provide constructive guidance, helping ensure analytical accuracy and high-quality outputs. 
  • Coach and support Analysts and other junior colleagues in developing their research, analytical, storytelling, and project-management capabilities. 
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and multi-country teams, ensuring strong communication and coordination throughout project delivery. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, consistency, and scalability of project execution and deliverables. 
  • Support special projects, knowledge-sharing activities, and thought leadership initiatives. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Economics, Business, Statistics, Social Sciences, or other relevant disciplines. 
  • Typically 4-5+ years of experience in marketing research, consumer insights, analytics, consulting, or a related field. 
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with demonstrated ability to move from data to insight and from insight to business implications. 
  • Ability to independently manage projects and multiple priorities, anticipating risks and taking action to keep work on track. 
  • Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality work. 
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build clear, compelling stories that resonate with different client audiences. 
  • Ability to integrate market research findings with relevant business and in-market data to develop a holistic understanding of client questions. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment, including the ability to recognize inconsistencies, challenge results when appropriate, and recommend solutions. 
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability and willingness to review work and provide hands-on coaching and guidance to less experienced team members. 
  • Comfort interacting directly with clients and contributing to client conversations and presentations. 
  • Fluent in English and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
