Account Manager, Sales Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Manager to join our team. In this role, the primary focus will be on driving sales revenue growth and nurturing client relationships within your assigned portfolio. You'll be entrusted with the day-to-day management of relationships with key client stakeholders and will be adept at leading strategic discussions with them, that may sometimes involve C- suite engagement.

External Key Responsibilities:

· Role involves 50% client management of existing portfolio combined with 50% hunting for new business across NIQ portfolio both upsell and new logo reach

· Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue growth targets within the assigned client portfolio.

· Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and preferences. Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding client partnerships across the diverse set of solutions that is available

· Manage and negotiate commercial agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.

· Act as the primary point of contact for key client stakeholders, addressing their inquiries and concerns in a timely and effective manner.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services to clients.

· Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for sales growth.

· Provide regular reports and updates on sales performance and client engagement to senior management.

· Work with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams to refine and execute strategic plans.

· Hunt for new logos to onboard including outbound prospecting via email, social, phone and in person into target accounts

Internal Key Responsibilities:

· Strategy Implementation: Ensure key messages of Global, Regional and Panel strategy are interpreted, understood and implemented across the respective group of clients.

· Forecasting: Manages, forecasts and achieves the revenue budget for the APP Cluster

· Establish annual, quarterly, monthly, or weekly sales plans and prioritize and schedule own activities so these targets are met. Ensure all potential clients are identified, approached and developed to maximize revenue potential of panel. This role is often the first touchpoint for prospects interested in NielsenIQ solutions and will set the tone for the sales cycle

following. Professionalism, enthusiasm, and excellent communication are key characteristics to be successful in this role.

· Contracts: Handles contract development and negotiation to successful resolution, meeting with GfK – NIQ standard practices

· Lead Development: Is responsible for client management activities including identifying opportunities to broaden penetration into the client’s business and enhancing client satisfaction for long term relationships.

· Retention: Through commercial excellence achieves Global Retention targets for a set list of clients

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) with a 7-9 years’ experience in market research and sales

· Knowledge of retail measurement practices, customized solutions/services is essential.

· Proven sales experience in hunting environment essential

· Strong negotiation and strategic planning abilities.

· Proven experience in commercial or sales management, preferably in the consumer durables industry.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

· Goal-driven, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Proficient in creating and delivering presentations tailored to the audience’s needs.

· Advanced in MS Office

· The ideal candidate will be a highly energized self-starter who can thrive working autonomously while also being skilled at building solid working relationships with cross-functional team members and sales stakeholders.
