With audiences consuming media across multiple devices and platforms, the ability to accurately measure and analyse media consumption is more critical than ever. Our Media Measurement team uses advanced technologies to track what content is being watched, where, and how audiences engage with it. By leveraging robust data infrastructure and analytics, we empower our clients to understand audience behaviour, optimize content strategies, and drive data-informed decision-making in the fast-evolving media landscape. Media measurement is working in two SAFe trains with more than 10 agile teams cooperating.

Job Description

About TC Refine team

The TC Refine team is an interdisciplinary SCRUM team working on two main areas. 

The first one is data ingestion from our metering technologies, where we have to reliably retrieve and persist measurement data from more than 50k metering devices of different types around the world.

Second is pre-processing this data, mainly via audio matching, to generate usage statements that can then be transformed into media usage insights by other teams.

Qualifications

As a SW Engineer joining our team, we expect you having knowledge in 80% of the skills listed below. Most important is the willingness to learn and adapt in the fast changing media world. 

  • Development in modern C++/Python
  • Linux environments and container-based development
  • Test driven development / thinking, debugging and performance analysis
  • CI/CD integration (github)
  • AWS cloud service experience
  • REST interface design/implementation incl security/authentication
  • Security, Data encryption

While the above abilities are important, the main required skills are flexibility of mind in order to adapt rapidly in a continuously changing environment and eagerness to work in a team. The candidate will work within a SCRUM team on a SAFe train where communication, respect, willingness to help and work as a team are important. Main tasks of the team are:

  • Develop Linux back-end systems
  • Comply with corporate security guidelines
  • Analyze data to understand improvement possibilities / issues
  • Provide user friendly interfaces
  • Develop and maintain a system running 24/7
  • Provide third level support incl. on-duty service
  • Migration and (re)orchestration of existing systems in AWS
