Job Description
We are the Retail Customer Success team, a digitally focused research team within NIQ, and we love collaborating with clients to identify current and future market opportunities and develop innovative solutions.
This position is for someone with a research background who is or wants to become an expert in the T&D retail market. As part of the team you’ll get to understand the UK retail landscape, dynamics, and consumer buying and behaviours, and translate what we learn into specific opportunities for our clients. We love to get immersed in data, work with it, come up with new hypotheses, and keep interrogating what we produce in order to create story-led analysis we are proud of.
This client facing role involves taking the lead with a portfolio of the UK’s largest retail clients – being responsible for managing day to day requests and using data to develop strategic and tactical recommendations and insights and solve business needs. Your role will involve direct interaction with clients, so being able to establish rapport with clients by being client-focused, responsive and approachable is necessary.
Salary: 33500 GBP gross per year. Placement within the range will depend on objective criteria including experience, skills, and internal equity considerations. We are committed to equal pay and pay transparency. Remuneration decisions are made using gender-neutral and objective criteria.
Key Responsibilities
Client Partnership & Ownership
Build and maintain strong working relationships with client stakeholders and internal teams
Lead the service of a portfolio of the UK’s largest Tech & Home & DIY retailers
Ensure client service is delivered to the agreed standard, meeting the service level requirements
Support day-to-day client requests and business questions with timely, accurate analysis
Contribute to a positive and effective client partnership
Insight Generation & Storytelling
Working directly with the retailers to understand their key business questions and strategic aims
Deliver structured, high-quality analysis using EPOS and relevant datasets
Produce actionable insight and answer retail partner queries and requests
Organise and prepare retailer presentations, bringing in multiple research methodologies from NIQ to produce an overall picture of retail market trends
Ensure accuracy and attention to detail across all deliverables
Strategic & Commercial Impact
Build knowledge of the client’s business, categories, and performance drivers
Develop understanding of UK T&D market and retail trends
Support identification of opportunities to add value through insight
Contribute to delivering against client objectives through data-driven recommendations
Team & Capability Development
Work collaboratively within the wider team and operations division to deliver strong outcomes
Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
Experience & Skills
Essential
Experience working in an analytical or insight-based role, strong numerical and analytical skills, with confidence handling data
Ability to turn data into clear and structured insights and good stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Engaging presenter, good at building relationships, internally and with clients
Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail and ability to deliver work accurately
Experience using tools such as Excel and PowerPoint

This is a full-time role based in London offering a hybrid working mode combining working from home and client offices.
