Job Description

NielsenIQ Product Leadership develops and drives forward our product strategy for NielsenIQ data. From panel and retail measurement to our platform services and suites of applications, NielsenIQ Product Leadership defines the market opportunities that shape our products that clients use to make strategic business decisions.   
  

A Product Leader would look at measurement innovation in the Retail & Manufacturing industry. This role is core to creating the future strategy for how discrete data assets can be brought together at NielsenIQ to impact our clients every day.  The role is responsible for the product roadmap aligned to global, commercial potential, input on market needs, and the go-to-market launch of new and enhanced measurement solutions. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  1. Product Strategy and Vision:  

  • Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy for analytical products, aligning with overall company goals and market trends.  

  • Define and communicate product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.  

  1. Analytical Modeling  

  • Apply hands-on experience to lead the development of analytical models, particularly in the context of retailer analytics with the objective of creating industry leading scalable capabilities.  

  • Collaborate closely with data scientists and engineers to implement and refine models that deliver actionable insights to our customers.  

  1. Client Engagement and Relationship Management:  

  • Manage client engagements by understanding client needs, providing expertise on analytical solutions, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.  

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor in the application of analytical models to drive business value.  

  1. Team Leadership and Collaboration:  

  • Indirectly lead a cross-functional team of data scientists, engineers, and designers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.  

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, promoting professional growth and skill development.  

  1. Market Analysis and Customer Engagement:  

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes in the analytics space.  

  • Engage with customers to understand their challenges, gather feedback, and incorporate insights into product development.  

  1. Product Development and Lifecycle Management:  

  • Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch and ongoing optimization.  

  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of high-quality products.  

  1. Data-Driven Decision Making:  

  • Drive the use of data and analytics in decision-making processes, leveraging insights to iterate on products and enhance user experiences.  

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.  

  1. Stakeholder Communication:  

  1. Effectively communicate product strategies, plans, and results to internal stakeholders, executive leadership, and external partners.  

  1. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies and support successful product launches.  

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of product management and analytical modeling experience, with a focus on retailer analytics.  

  • Leadership: Proven experience leading and inspiring cross-functional teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.  

  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of analytical modeling, data science, and software development processes.  

  • Client Management: Demonstrated ability to manage client engagements, understand client needs, and deliver impactful solutions.  

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically, analyze market trends, and translate insights into actionable product plans.  

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.  

  • Customer Focus: Demonstrated commitment to understanding customer needs and delivering solutions that exceed expectations.
